Tonight, you are invited to be part of the further development of an award-winning play!
Playwright Kevin Rehac and director Elowyn Castle have been working in rehearsal
with a fine professional cast, now you will complete the process.
Following tonight's reading, you will be asked to give your feedback during a hosted talk back session. This feedback
is an essential element in the further development of the play. Kevin will apply some of it directly in rewrites he'll work on
between the readings. And he will carry your comments into his work on the play following this week,
as he readies it for initial production.
"A Much Better Life" was developed through ARTC's weekly Workshop, in which we meet for ten months of the year.
Kevin was one of three finalists for our annual Jerry Kaufman Awards last spring, winning First Prize for Excellence
in Playwriting in 2017. Thanks to the generous support of Jerry's sister, Carol Goldberg, we are very pleased
to be able to enhance the prize with this Developmental Readings Workshop.
Thank you for joining us!
